Some Effective Home Remedies For Bad Breath

Home remedies for bad breath seem to help people when nothing else can and you can usually find the best home remedies for bad breath either on the internet or in any country
living home remedy book.  For some reason the country folk seem to have stumbled upon the best home remedies for bad breath and many of the mixtures and solutions they have come up with are actually very effective.  Not all home remedies for bad breath come from the country, some are just passed down from generation to generation and kept in families or distributed in home remedy books.  If you have tried everything the drug store has to offer and nothing seems to work then maybe you should try some of these home remedies for bad breath and see if they can't get you close to someone again real soon.

Hydrogen Peroxide

In many home remedies for bad breath you will find hydrogen peroxide as the main active ingredient.  If you look at the label of many commercially made bad breath remedies you will see hydrogen peroxide listed as one of the ingredients.  Obviously the people that make the commercial bad breath remedies are just using hydrogen peroxide incorrectly because many home remedies for bad breath have found it to be a very effective ingredient.  Some people mix hydrogen peroxide with things like salt and other ingredients but it seems effective just mixed in a combination with water where water is the main ingredient because drinking pure hydrogen peroxide is dangerous.  The step many of the commercial mouth washes are missing is scraping and brushing your tongue prior to using the mouth wash.  Once you have scraped your tongue with a tongue scraper and brushed it with a toothbrush then you use the mouthwash.  Don't swallow but make sure you move it around your mouth for a few minutes.  Many people swear this is the most effective mouthwash you will ever use.

Mint Leaves

This one just seems so obvious that it is a wonder that more people don't do this rather than invest in any commercially made mouthwash.  Chewing mint leaves is more of a European thing but it is still one of the more effective home remedies for bad breath that people use.  Next time you have bad breath try chewing some mint leaves and see if that doesn't work better than gum or mouthwash for getting rid of your bad breath.

Baking Soda

This is one of the home remedies for bad breath that people may not really know about.  This one is simple too as all you need to do is either gargle with a baking soda and water combination or brush your teeth with pure baking soda.  Have you ever seen the commercials that tell you to put a box of baking soda in your refrigerator to get rid of odors?  Baking soda absorbs odors and as long as you aren't pouring straight down your throat it is plenty safe to use as one of the many home remedies for bad breath.
